Review Swiss payment forum 2022

WHO KNOWS THE DEVELOPMENTS OF THE PRESENT ...

This year, the Swiss Payment Forum took place in Zurich on November 21 and 22. With an absolute record of almost 220! participants, 13 partners and 29 speakers, we look back happily on the 11th edition of the conference.

Moderated by Sandro Graf, we were able to experience 21 groundbreaking presentations on the present and future of payment. As usual, the range of topics was broad:
Instant Payment, Open Banking, decentralised payments, decentralised finance, CBDCs, Stablecoins, crypto-strategies of national banks, smart contracts, embedded finance, Click to Pay, digital payments, sustainable banking, multi-banking, lean card ordering processes, QR code scan apps worldwide, brands in Payment, Metaverse, Decentraland, improving cross border payments, carbon calculator, SIC via SSFN, protection against expropriation and inflation through cryptos, PostFinance Pay, Soft POS, Tap on Mobile, investment and banking ideas for the smartphone generation, the results of the Swiss Payment Monitor.

For the keynote this year, we were able to win Lars Thomsen, one of the world's leading innovation researchers. He spoke about the trends, innovations and tipping points of the next 520 weeks and gave us an exciting insight into the world of tomorrow. From his perspective, the central question after 30 years of digitalisation is: "What comes after digitalisation?" While the Internet of Things is growing 20 times faster than the Internet of People, a neural network of unimagined proportions is emerging. We are curious to see whether the 7 mega trends addressed by Lars Thomsen will hold their own in the next 10 years and what role Europe and Switzerland will play in this.

New this year was the Innovation Panel chaired by Dr. Thomas Fromherz: Out of three exciting pitches, the audience chose Kaspar& as the winner.

We would like to thank everyone who was present on stage and participated this year and made the 11th Swiss Payment Forum a great success. We are already looking forward to the next Swiss Payment Forum on November 13 and 14, 2023 in Zurich!

... MAKEs BETTER DECISIONS FOR THE FUTURE!
